Laurence Chandler
In my ‘hint towards reality’ seascapes I try to capture the beauty, immensity and wildness of the sea and sky and how I feel when I look at them. And no day is ever the same: the weather, mood, light and movement are always changing. (search for Laurence Chandler)
Lesley Gray
Lesley Gray trained as a Graphic Designer at Michaelis School of Fine Art, University of Cape Town. Worked in computer graphics industry launching Adobe and Letraset software in the UK and Europe. Inspiration is drawn from natural observation of simple forms, light and colour. Creative energy and unconscious decisions influence how I explore ideas intuitively and instinctively whilst enjoying the tactile nature of creating artwork. Texture and repetitive patterns in nature never cease to amaze and excite me. I love the fluidity and colours of Turner’s watercolours and the softness of Monet’s oils. Aren’t we lucky having the inspiring Turner Contemporary Gallery on our doorstep! Over the years, I’ve exhibited at various galleries in London and the South East, including The Mall Galleries, RCA, Bankside Gallery, Llewellyn Alexander Gallery, Horsebridge Whitstable, Beaney Canterbury, York Street Gallery, Albion House Ramsgate, Lovelys, Pie Factory, etc. and have won various painting awards. Patricia Bentley
Using the theme of landscape this body of work explores the concept of other realms, unworldly places beyond this time and space. The results are landscapes that perhaps appear unresolved – even prehistoric. On further examination the viewer may glimpse a world of a different time and space… an introduction to places we may otherwise not know .. but inwardly suspect they exist. Fiona Howard
Sometimes I paint on a quiet sunny day
Sometimes I paint on a dark and sparkly night
Music fills my mind as my brush begins to start
But whatever the mood I always paint from my heart (search for Fiona Howard)
