The Pie Factory Margate presents: The Dreamlife of Debris.

Featuring works by Clare Beattie, Carole Day, Sue Fletcher, Carol Marsh, Cherie Peters, Helen Poulteney, Matt Phillips, Catherine Tutton, Angela Peermohamed, and Jacob Weeks.

The Dreamlife of Debris is an exhibition of works by ten local artists whose practice is anchored in the objects and experiences of their day to day lives. The artists use everyday materials or subject matter that run underneath the conscious of our daily lives. In The Dreamlife of Debris these materials are re-presented as fragments or remnants that disclose the lived experience and reappear to consciousness as debris, hinting at a phenomenology of perception and memory, and ultimately giving them an alternative existence, a Dreamlife.

The artists have backgrounds in fashion, literature, photography, film making, teaching, illustration as well as fine art.

All are studying for their MA Fine Art at UCA Canterbury.
