Free Seaside Cyanotype Workshop: Saturday 28 May from 12:00
This spring bank holiday, second year Photography students of Canterbury Christ Church University will present an interim exhibition at Pie Factory Margate in the rising seaside town of Margate. Self curated by the ten members of the cohort themselves; One Tenth of Everything will not only demonstrate the team’s collaborative input on this project but also each individual’s work that they have accomplished throughout this academic year.
The ten students under the collective name of 14.17 will all exhibit a number of chosen projects that they have completed this year, from traditional and alternative photographic processes to digital prints and moving image.
All members of the public are welcome to this dynamic event, to look around the gallery and to take part in the family friendly Cyanotype workshop that will take place on the Saturday. The students will be readily available throughout the exhibition to talk about their works and answer any questions visitors may have.
Free Seaside Cyanotype Workshop: Saturday 28 May from 12:00
All welcome to attend drop in Cyanotype workshop in which participants will, with help from the students, create their own cyanotypes to take home. Participants are encouraged to bring small seaside objects with them to use in the workshop. Cyanotypes use a simple alternative process that derives from blueprints.
