Can’t Open The Door

A major new multimedia art installation by Kent artist Sam Westbury opens on 16 November at the Pie Factory in Margate. Exploring elements of British culture from rave to caravan parks, ‘Can’t Open the Door’ promises an immersive experience during its five-day run.

Showcasing the skills developed from props and scenic making for films, theatre and theme parks – along with his work at the University of Kent’s School of Arts – Sam has created five rooms of walk-through installations at Margate’s centre for the creative community.

The ‘Can’t Open the Door’ exhibition opens Friday 16th November and runs to Tuesday 19th November, from 10am – 5pm daily. A private view and press night will be held on Friday 16th from 6pm – 11pm.
