This special show commemorates the work of the remarkable artist Michael Blaker, 1928 – 2018. Michael was celebrated particularly as an etcher, and prints by him will of course be on display. However, also included will be a wide range of his work in other mediums, demonstrating particularly his powers of observation and his fertile imagination. These will include paintings, embracing his sometimes surprising take on traditional themes, portraits, landscapes and flower paintings, all produced over a long period by this versatile, prolific and highly skilled painter, etcher and writer. Books by Michael, and even film, will also be part of this all-embracing exhibition, a tribute to a truly unique artist.
