HERE AND NOW brings together current and former artists from Resort Studios, Margate, presenting work across print, painting, sculpture, moving image, and other mediums.
Reuniting members old and new, it reflects a shared studio culture shaped through practising side by side, alongside ongoing conversation and exchange. Following a recent move back to Cliftonville — where Resort was first founded — the studio now finds itself in its third home. This return brings a renewed awareness of beginnings, while opening out towards what lies ahead.
Being in the Pie Factory offers a chance to come together, share work, and encounter one another’s practices in a different setting — extending studio conversations into a new environment, and making space for a more informal and lively exchange.
Alongside the exhibition, there may be informal moments of live activity — including music and poetry — emerging across the run of the show.
The exhibition gathers these practices in the present — a point of connection between artists whose work continues to unfold within and beyond the studio.
