Each year, the resident artists, makers and creatives from Westgate Galleria and the Eclectic Art Gallery get together for a group showcase. It features their hand-crafted textiles, glass-work, woodwork and metalwork, ceramics, jewellery, creative writing, paintings, drawings and prints.
These two independent local galleries support creatives – emerging and established – from across Thanet and Kent. They are led by local businesswomen Sarah Gibbon and Vivienne Rose, who curate bright and colourful, accessible, selections of work for their annual showcases, and this year’s will be bigger, better and bolder than ever before; including work from guest artists they have worked with recently too. This group showcase is a popular part of Margate’s creative calendar for the local community and the area’s visitors.
